Fighting for Justice, Equality, and Community Empowerment in Yakima.
Join us in our mission to create a more equitable future.
OUR STORY

The Yakima County NAACP Branch 1140 was established in 1944.
We are committed to ensuring a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.
The mission of the NAACP is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights, in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.

Here at Yakima County NAACP, we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2000, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

The Yakima County NAACP is a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization. Donations to the Yakima County NAACP are not tax-deductible. Individuals who donate can, however, write off the donation as a business expense.
